Subscription, Connection & Refund FAQs

Find help by issue, from account settings to route troubleshooting. Client instructions may vary by interface; check your order and subscription details in the user panel.

Account & subscriptions

When creating an account, retrieving a subscription, or switching devices, make sure you’re using information from the user panel.

What do I need to create a VPNRL account?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password, and keep them somewhere safe—you’ll need them to access the user panel, view plans, and retrieve your subscription link. If you can’t log in, check your details first, then describe the issue through the support ticket option in the user panel. Never include your password in a public comment or screenshot.

Where can I find my subscription link after purchase?

Sign in to the user panel and find your active plan and its subscription details. Copy the subscription link from the panel and import it into your client. The link lets your client load the route list; it isn’t a regular webpage URL, and you don’t need to assemble it yourself. Always get the current link from the panel rather than search results or links forwarded by others. If you share a troubleshooting screenshot, hide the entire link.

Do I need to buy another plan when I switch devices?

VPNRL supports unlimited devices connected at the same time. To switch devices, sign in to the user panel on the new device, get your subscription details, and import them into a compatible client. You don’t need to choose another plan just because you changed devices. If you no longer use the old device, you can remove the subscription in its client. Data usage remains shared across the same account; adding devices doesn’t create separate data allowances.

What should I do if my client’s route list hasn’t updated?

In your client, find the update or refresh option for the current subscription and wait for the route list to reload. The button name varies by client. If the old list still appears, check your subscription details in the user panel, then reimport as prompted by the client. When copying the link, avoid including spaces at either end, and don’t paste it into public testing sites. If the issue persists, submit a support ticket and mention your platform.

Connections & troubleshooting

Work out whether the issue is with your local network, client settings, or the app you’re using before making repeated changes.

Connected, but webpages won’t load—what should I check first?

Open a regular webpage to confirm your local network is working, then try another region or route in your client. Check that the client’s proxy is enabled and that your browser isn’t using a separate proxy that conflicts with the client. If every route behaves the same way, quit and reopen the client, then check whether your subscription is up to date. When submitting a ticket, include your platform, route name, and error message to help pinpoint the issue.

Why isn’t a particular app going through the proxy?

Your client may be in rule mode, where rules determine which apps or addresses use a route. So a working browser doesn’t mean every app follows the same path. Check the client’s connection mode and routing rules, then make sure the app isn’t excluded. You can briefly switch to another mode for comparison, then restore your usual settings once you’ve identified the cause. The exact steps depend on your client.

What should I do if no routes appear after importing my subscription?

First, make sure your client supports subscription imports and that you pasted the full link from the user panel—not the plan page URL. Try updating the subscription manually in the client and check for a format or network error. If the subscription is reported as invalid, copy it from the panel again without editing the link. If routes still don’t appear, submit a support ticket with the client name, platform, and error message. Don’t share the full subscription link outside the ticket.

Why does the old region still appear after I switch routes?

First, confirm that the new route shows as connected in your client. Then close and reopen the webpage or app you want to use. Some apps retain an existing session or cached region information, so the displayed content may not update right away. Check the exit region in a new session. If it’s still unchanged, check the client’s routing rules and confirm that the app is actually using the selected route.

Speed & routes

Choose a route based on what you need and where you’re connecting, then compare how it performs on your network.

Which route should I choose for smoother video during peak hours?

Choose an exit region that matches the streaming service, then try other routes in that region. Route names alone don’t predict how well a connection will perform. For video issues, distinguish between buffering and automatically reduced picture quality: pause other bandwidth-heavy tasks, then reload the video page and compare. IEPL, relay, and direct routes use different connection paths, so you can try each type. Performance also depends on your local network and the streaming service.

Is a nearby region always faster?

Geographic distance is one clue, but a connection also depends on your local access network, cross-border routing, and the network hosting the service. For everyday browsing, start with a nearby region. For services that require a particular region, choose an exit that works for that service. If a route performs poorly on your current network, try another route in the same region and compare page loads or playback instead of relying on the region name alone.

What settings should I check when using AI tools?

First, confirm that the tool is available in your chosen region, then select a route for that region. If the webpage loads but a conversation drops, check that the client stays connected, that your browser isn’t using an additional proxy, and that routing rules aren’t sending related requests along different paths. Try reopening the session after switching routes. Account requirements, feature availability, and usage limits are set by the tool provider; choosing a route doesn’t change them.

How should I compare the different route types?

IEPL, relay, and direct routes describe connection paths, not a fixed ranking of speed for every use. Narrow down your options by destination, then compare them based on what you need: for work, check connection stability; for video, check playback; for browsing, compare page load times. If a route slows down, try another in the same region first. If that doesn’t help, try a different route type rather than changing several settings at once.

Billing & refunds

Monthly plan data resets on its start date. Data packages last until used and never expire.

When does monthly plan data reset?

Monthly plan data resets each month on the date your plan started, not at the beginning of the calendar month. Current monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Check the user panel for your plan and usage details. When choosing a tier, consider your typical usage rather than basing your decision on an occasional spike.

What’s the difference between a data package and a monthly plan?

Monthly plan data resets each month on the date the plan started, making it a good fit for regular usage. Data packages last until used and never expire. Available options are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB, which may suit less predictable usage. Consider how regularly you use the service and how much data you typically need. A data package doesn’t reset monthly.

How is a mid-cycle upgrade to a monthly plan calculated?

When you upgrade a monthly plan mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated based on the remaining days. Before confirming, check your current plan, the tier you want, and the checkout details shown in the user panel. Don’t estimate the amount due from the full monthly price. If the displayed amount doesn’t match your expectations, stop before confirming and submit a support ticket with your current plan and intended tier. Verify the details before proceeding.

How do I request a refund?

VPNRL offers a 30-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user panel and submit a refund request through the support ticket option, including enough information to identify your order. Don’t post payment details publicly. Review the refund policy for applicable terms before submitting your request. If you’re also having connection issues, you can describe them in the ticket, but you don’t have to troubleshoot first to request a refund.
